About PRIDD
The only fully validated dermatology impact measure applicable to all skin conditions!
What is PRIDD?
Patient-Reported Impact of Dermatological Diseases (PRIDD) is a new and unique measure of the impact of dermatological diseases on the patient’s life and is the first dermatology-specific tool that is applicable to all skin conditions. No other dermatology tool has such broad applicability.
PRIDD is a multidimensional questionnaire that assesses four dimensions of impact: physical, psychological, life responsibilities and social impacts.
PRIDD was developed using a scientifically rigorous and published methodology, resulting in the only dermatology-specific PROM that can be recommended for use according to the COnsensus-based Standards for the selection of health Measurement INstruments (COSMIN) criteria.
PRIDD was developed over seven years in partnership with Cardiff University, University of Hamburg, the International Alliance of Dermatology Patient Organizations (GlobalSkin) and more than 5600 patients living with 90 different dermatological conditions from 96 countries. Each of the development phases of PRIDD has been published in reputable dermatology journals.
It the first validated measure in dermatology developed with patients at every step of the process. To learn more about the development of the measure visit https://globalskin.org/research.
The entire dermatology community – patients, clinicians, researchers, and pharmaceutical companies – can use PRIDD to better understand patient suffering thereby promoting improved patient-centered healthcare.
